MEET THE FOUNDERS

PETER COQUILLARD

Sr. Manager/ Head of International, Milk and Honey Management 

Formerly of Windswept Pacific, Hitco and Nettwerk One Music, Peter is a 25 year veteran of the music publishing business, Peter has worked directly with Pete Townshend, The Who, Nine Inch Nails and UK artist Tricky. Through the years Peter’s writers have had songs recorded by artists including; Britney Spears, Usher, Beyonce, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, Corrine Bailey Rae, James Arthur. TVXQ/Tojoshinki, Super Junior, Kumi Koda, Namie Amuro, Wondergirls, Shinwa, Li Yuchun and Sun Nan. 

Peter has worked on a number of special projects having split his time between music publishing, film and television music supervision and artist development. He was instrumental in the development and A&R of Chinese Star Wanting Qu and singer/actress Chloe Bennet. Peter is currently the music supervisor on the K pop inspired TV show “Make It Pop” which debut on Nickelodeon TV in the US in Spring of 2015. The show is scheduled to air globally shortly.

MICHAEL TAYLOR

Managing Director, Universal Music Australia

Michael oversees Music Labels Australia, the division that encompasses leading record labels Island, Mercury, Modular, Polydor, Def Jam, Lost Highway, USM, Republic and Interscope, and many others. Taylor is responsible for the UMA International Labels, Domestic, Strategic, Marketing and Promotion teams. Based at the company’s head office in Sydney, Australia, Taylor oversees the creative focus for Universal Music Labels Australia’s stellar roster of artists.

Taylor began his career as an agent trainee at The William Morris Agency in New York, before moving into A&R at Columbia Records and then Warner Music’s Maverick Recording Company. In 2001 he moved to Australia as Head of A&R for Sony Music, where he signed and developed many platinum artists, including Delta Goodrem whose smash hit album ‘Innocent Eyes’ sold over four million albums worldwide. In 2004 Taylor returned to the US, as Senior A&R Director for Epic Records. Three years later he moved back to Australia, joining Universal Music to run Island Records. In 2013 he was promoted to Executive Vice President, A&R, Universal Music & Island Records Australasia. 2014 saw his appointment to his current position as Managing Director.
